Tony Hoffman is a popular man though not for the good reasons. Not all like his advices and strategies, as they are highly unethical and immoral. Like, if you want the seller to succumb to your demands you can retreat from your purchase at the last moment. The sudden disapproval creates a panic in the seller’s mind and the chance become genuine that you will be able to sign on the better deal with him.

Tony Hoffman was revered as the real estate expert and in 1980’s he wrote the book "How to Negotiate Successfully in Real Estate". He has also conducted many seminars over how to buy a property with no money down payment. However, he stopped it later as he had the plans to become the governor of California, which however, did not fructify.

Tony Hoffman has suggested the use of recommended purchase contract in his book known as "Standard Real Estate Purchase Contract". However, if we go deeper there is nothing as the standard contract and it is a way to mislead and misdirect the investors. The form is designed in such a way that you could easily untie yourself from the deal. However, the seller has to remain tie to it to get the deal completed.

One could also measure the effectiveness of Tony Hoffman’s advices by the fact that his company National Superstar Inc., filed for bankruptcy in 1986. The question lies that if he was not able to save his own company than how could he help others against drowning. Of lately, Tony Hoffman is seen in infomercials selling drape cleaning devices and he was the producer of video O.J Simpson to prove his innocence.

Thus, Tony Hoffman is indeed popular but for wrong reasons and his counseling and recommendations is not admired for being unethical and immoral. Anyone who does not believe in the principle of morality can perhaps make few bucks out of it.
