J. P. Vaughan is the Publisher and co-founder of Creative Real Estate Online (creonline.com). She has authored the book “How to Buy Your Dream House for 1/2 Price”. Before starting her full-time investment career in 1988, she practiced law in Michigan.

Vaughan launched her site Creative Real Estate Online in November 1995. Terry L. Vaughan, a real estate investor since the mid-1970s, co-founded this venture. Terry produced the home study kit called “Paper into Gold...A Guaranteed Income for Life”.

The aim of the site was to provide powerful, useful and practical information on real estate investing. The Vaughans have added news groups and a chat room with different forums when Internet technology have made "interactivity" possible.

J. P. Vaughan’s Creative Real Estate Online is the most popular real estate e-community that gets 50,000 visitors a week. It contains numerous free “how to” articles by prominent gurus. Besides, there are information and advertisements on topics including financing, law, books and courses. It also organizes Creative Real Estate Online conventions, where business gurus share their own theories.

Creative Real Estate Online acts as a forum for exchange of ideas and information for achieving financial success through real estate investments. The main Newsgroup holds discussions on all topics about real estate. However, it also contains six specialist forums - Mobile Homes; Real Estate Law; Cash Flow, Mortgages, Notes; Commercial Real Estate; Real Estate Financing and Carlton Sheets Group. The last forum is for exchanging information about real estate gurus.

J. P. Vaughan offers useful information on Creative Real Estate Online. However, there is no provision for screening the material on the newsgroup. The Vaughans claim that they regularly check the contents on the site and remove the wrong or useless materials. However, it is difficult to rely on the materials completely. Many comments and information on the site may actually be advertisements.
