Foreclosure real estate is a big market for investors. It is sometimes even more lucrative for the countless real estate gurus who sell their programs and courses for hundreds of dollars to aspiring real estate investor. Unfortunately, many of these gurus do not have a good name thanks to unscrupulous dealings and unethical methods. One such person is Ione Young Gray a.k.a I G Williams was a major foreclosure guru before being convicted of fraud. She operated out of LA where she also practiced law. She was also suspended from the bar for five years and was placed on probation for four years. It is not great for either her law career or her real estate career.

No one is willing to recommend I G Williams for anything. She reportedly obtained over six hundred thousand dollars in federally related mortgage through misrepresenting her identity and income. She apparently also used a false social security number on two separate loan applications to get these funds. Williams was convicted for violation of 18 USC 1014 and 42 USC 408 (a) (7) (b). The charges laid on her were felony and moral turpitude and she was convicted on them in 1997. Though she made her loan payments and the bank did not suffer any monetary loss her act still did tantamount to felony. On the other hand she was suspended from the bar association for nonpayment of bar dues. While still suspended, Gray accepted cases for clients and made court appearance.

As for I G William’s courses, she was the author and promoter of two popular programs. Her programs were called Purchasing real estate properties for no cash down and no qualifying and Ione Gray Seminars of Los Angeles, CA. No one really recommends her cases anymore especially since she used unethical methods to obtain funds. Her rocky law career puts her capabilities as a good, reliable real estate investor and teacher. Overall, it is best to stay away from anything that has an Ione Gray stamp on it.
