However, sponsored ads are into foul weather. It is among the most debated advertising tools on the Internet. There are many lawsuits and files against sponsored ads as they are misleading advertisers by offering fake links and thereby producing mistrust in their minds. Besides, sponsored ads are also ruining the goodwill of established advertising companies like American Blind & Wallpaper Factory Inc., Louis Vuitton, etc.

Normally, advertising companies use certain search algorithms for creating links with popular keywords. Advertising companies then offer further links based on consumer queries and results of different search engines. However, certain advertising companies claim that search engines of some companies offer targeted keywords and brand names to attract more advertisers. These are against the normal marketing and advertising norms. It also deceives customers and is an unfair practice.

There are many arguments in favor and against such sponsored ads in different lawsuits and court cases. Court rulings are sometimes individualistic depending on the particular situation. However, the overall view is that ads should not mislead people or earn money through fraudulent means. There are various instances of different companies purchasing URL’s or using different specific keywords without legitimate rights. Sure unfair practices work against search engines. Consumers shy away from using search engines for their advertising needs.

Some advertising companies like Feedster Inc. are adding links to their websites. This helps user to learn and understand additional information about a specific page. These come along with sponsored ads and other keyword based results of search engines. Companies also plan to offer various blogs to add more sponsored lists to existing ones through RSS feeds. This helps advertiser to turn off ads at their discretion and receive good and licensed responses.
